Sports Article Response: Red Soxs vs. White Soxs

On April 16th, 2014 after losing 3 games in a row, the Boston Red Sox beat the Chicago White Sox 6 to 4. The win was a sigh of relief for the players and Red Sox fans considering the team hadn't lost 4 games in a row since 2012. Considering the world series victory that the Red Sex earned in the 2013 season, this slow start is more than just a little disapointing. However, true boston fans such as myself have faith in this team. Through all the sadness felt throughout Boston and New England last year, the team pulled out an amazing victory in the world series giving the people of Boston and New England hope and happiness. A team that has that much love and pride will no doubt come out of this slum that they are in and surprise the whole country once more.

Aaron Hernandez Scandal

On June 26, 2013 New England Patriots tight defensive tight end Aaron Hernandez was arrested for the murder of Odin Lloyd. Odin Lloyd was a semi-pro football player. Hes body was found on June 17, 2013 in a North Attleboro industral park a half mile away for Hernandez's house. Patriots fans all across New England were shocked and devisated about the arrest. Once the New England patriots team found out about the case against Hernandez, they were hurt and dissapointed. Someone they thought they knew turn out to have a very disturbing secret. Hours after Herndanez was arrested, the Patriots made a statement that they were releasing Aaron Hernandez. As a patriots fan myself with family that lives in North Attleboro, the news broke my heart and sent chills up my spine. Three-time Super Bowl winning head coach of the New England Patriots was personal hurt by the situation. However, he and the team owner Robert Kraft made it clear that the actions of Aaron Hernandez do not reflect how the team as a whole what so ever. the team was sad to say that Hernandez was one of the best offensice players the team had. Luckly, even with this heavy loss in a strange situation the Patriots did have a pretty good 2013 NFL season winning the title of AFC East champions. As the case goes on, we will see if Aaron Hernandez is innocent or guilty. 

Shawn White Shocker!

On February 11th, at the 2014 Sochi Olympics, people all over the world were completely shocked when two-time olympic gold medalist Shawn White did not metal in the men's halfpipe. Even though Shawn receive amazing scores in the halfpipe qualifying rounds, he placed fourth in the finals. Though loosing took a toll on Shawn, he was nothing but happy for the gold winning snowboarder Iouri Podloantchikov of Switzerland. Born in Russia, at age 25 Iouri won his first ever gold medal in his home land. Although very happy about his amazing achievement, it was bitter-sweet when he knock his idol, Shawn White off the potium. Right after his win Iouri raced over to Shawn giving him a huge hug and thanking him for setting the bar so high and making him want to work so hard. Although he left Sochi without a medal, I don't think we've seen the last of Shawn Whites epic snowboarding. Shawn has a competitive spirit, and a loss in the sport that he loves and has accomplished greatest in will only make him work harder and come back so much stronger next time.

Honestly, It's hard to believe that all this families could be lying about the same thing. I'm sure that something did happen that Jerry isn't telling his wife. Who knows, maybe Dottie knows more than she thinks she does but doesn't want to believe it. I don't think she's looking at the big pictue. That if her husband really did rape all those people, 26 kids are going through something unthinkable. I don't thnk she is thinking about how those boys must be feelings. Bottom line, there is no way Jerry Sandusky will be getting out of his 30-60 year sentence. Whether or not Jerry and Dottie believe he is innocent, there's too much evidence working against him. As for the whole victums just trying to get money idea, I don't believe a family would make a young man go through this type of situation just for money. It's in no way worth it.

Will Michael Sams Sexuality Effect His Chances in the NFL?

Michael Sam is undeniably and a very good football player, and the NFL knows that. Therefore any team would be lucky to have him no matter what his sexuality is. I don't think Michael Sam sexuality will effect has chances in the NFL, because whatever drafts him the couch and players will find out sooner or later that they made the right decision.
